Torsion Pendulum is a simulator of nonlinearity. It can be used for distortion audio signal and harmonics saturation. There are two algorithms used for simulation of nonlinearity. The algorithms are H.D.Shaper (Shaper of Harmonic Distortion) that simulates an overloading from small to hard clipping distortion and integrator that simulates the distortions introduced by the charge/discharge of the RC circuit which a described by U = U0e(-t/RC).
A torsion pendulum is a twist on the classic pendulum, utilizing rotational motion instead of swinging back and forth. Imagine a bob suspended by a thin wire, free to rotate. When you twist the bob and let go, it swings back and forth rotationally, just like a regular pendulum swings in an arc. This back-and-forth rotational motion is called simple harmonic motion.
