Specifically designed for Halloween, Haunted House 3D Screensaver is, as the name implies, a 3D screensaver. It shows a beautifully-drawn haunted house seemingly ripped from a high-quality video game, which is placed in a gothic-inspired scenery and accompanied by spooky sounds and characters.

The app can be easily installed and, unlike most installers, it features several configuration settings to help you make Halloween as enjoyable as possible.

Installation and configuration

Once installed, Haunted House 3D Screensaver is automatically set as the default screensaver and, if your operating system supports this feature, it is automatically set as the current desktop wallpaper too, which shows the animation but does not include sounds.

By default, the tool uses the desktop config for the resolution and it automatically detects the aspect ratio, but you can change these settings. Furthermore, it can be asked to exit on mouse move as well as to show a blank screen on all monitors (i.e. multiple monitors are supported).

Manage the graphics quality and music

You can adjust the quality of the graphics to favor the animation or reduce system resources consumption, as well as disable sounds and music or adjust their volume level instead. Speaking of music, Haunted House 3D Screensaver lets you put together a playlist with your favorite songs (or terrifying sounds) to play for Halloween.

No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the tool did not hang or crash. It had minimal impact on PC performance, running on low CPU and RAM.
